Memory Capabilities for Kestrel 4000 code ver 4.10 and above
Kestrel 4000 series models with code versions 4.10 and above have 2000 data points in the memory bank.
(Note that for each "data point" a value for every measurement is stored.) To determine which code version your Kestrel is, turn the unit on and it will be displayed on the splash screen.
You can customize whether or not your Kestrel is storing data. When the Auto Store is set to on, the unit will automatically record each measurement and store it in the data log. (Main Menu -> Memory Options -> Auto Store)
The frequency at which the Kestrel takes measurements is referred to as the Store Rate. (Main Menu -> Memory Options -> Store Rate) Here is a quick-reference for how long it will take to fill up the memory bank at each store rate.
Note that you can also choose whether or not the Kestrel overwrites the store data once the memory bank is full (In the Main Menu -> Memory Options -> Overwrite On/Off).
